Density 2036 is a 22-year project begun by Claire Chase in 2014 to commission an entirely new body of repertory for solo flute each year until the 100th Anniversary of Edgard Varèse’s groundbreaking 1936 flute solo, Density 21.5. each season between 2014-2036, Claire will premiere a new 60-minute program of solo flute work commissioned that year in a special performance at The Kitchen in New York City and on tour in select cities thereafter. Additionally, each cycle of works (Density 2014, Density 2015, Density 2020, etc) will be released in their world premiere recordings annually, and scores, performance notes and materials be made available digitally as educational resources for flutists everywhere.

The World Cup is an opportunity for different nations and cultures to overlook their differences and gather together to form a festival that’s exciting, joyful and honors the values of friendship and peace. While this gathering is based on a serious competition, at its heart it is about closeness and the coming together of humanity; where people bond over their common passion for the idea of the team spirit. 

You may be aware that Iran’s national football team has drawn to play in Group B, along with Portugal, Spain and Morocco in the 2018 Russia FIFA World Cup. The four teams all emanate from countries which are proud custodians of rich and ancient musical cultures.

Like football, music is an international language which can draw different people together and to celebrate this spirit, we are very excited to announce that we are planning a two-day festival in Tehran celebrating artists from these four different countries.

The Group B Festival is a rare opportunity for Iranian audiences to explore and savor some of the best and most beautiful music from these nations.

This project combines, in an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach, questions of global history and transnational theory with the methods and tools of Digital Human- ities and adapts these to the analysis of theatre history

Its goal is to develop and implement a relational database on the basis of geo- and chronoreferencing. With aid of this database, one will be able to better collect, analyse and map the global exchanges and trans-local dynamics in the area of theatre during so-called first phase of globalisation (1850-1920).

This has proved to be crucial in further investigating theatrical phenomena in their relation to economic and cultural globalization – not only for historiographical projects, but also for contemporary phenomena.

An independent group of professionals and students with the common goal of providing knowledge to the general public in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region regarding sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
